On July 1, Alice Guy's birthday, the Cinema Ritrovato in Bologna Italy will be screening a series of films Alice Guy made in Spain as well as the newly preserved copy of The Empress. The Empress will be shown without intertitles. Live piano by Maud Nelisson.
Hommage to Alice Guy, introduced by Kim Tomdjoglou, piano by Donald Sosin, at 10 am Sunday June 26th at the Il Cinema Retrovato XXV film festival in Bologna Italy. Program of selected shorts based on the theme of La comicità è la fonte di tutti i piaceri ("comedy is the source of all pleasure").
On Tuesday, June 28th, at 10 am the same festival will feature a program of Alice Guy's social issue dramas.

In Memory of Adrienne Noelle Channing
January 22, 1949 – February 26, 2011
Adrienne Noelle Channing, Alice Guy Blaché’s granddaughter, died on February 26, 2011. With her goes one of the last people who knew Alice Guy Blaché personally. In addition to many other accomplishments Adrienne took on her mother, Roberta Blaché’s task of preserving Alice Guy Blaché legacy, after Roberta died in September of 2000.
